Pre-Order: 15 July 2020

Race Begins: 3 August 2020

The Integrated Personnel and Pay System – Army (IPPS-A) is a revolutionary Army Human Resources (HR) system that enables Army HR professionals’ with the ability to maintain accurate accountability of Army personnel (Active, National Guard and Reserve), provides HR personnel and leaders with comprehensive tools for talent management and allows for an audit capability for pay and benefits. The slogan for IPPS-A is “One Soldier, One Record, One Army” thus the genesis of the 1.1.1 miles.  IPPS-A delivers and integrates personnel and pay across all components and utilizes current technologies to deliver service and support to the Army’s most valuable resource: the Soldier and their family!

Although there is no locked timeline to finish, the event coordinator is challenging all participants to complete the 111 Mile VR within 90 days from our “go live” date (03 August 2020).  This is easy, so let’s accept the challenge and do it!  1st, 2nd and 3rd place for both male/female categories that register for the 111 Mile Challenge will receive an exclusive AGCRA placement certificate. See the race rules here.

You can run, walk or use a combination of approved exercises to complete the AGCRA 5K/111 Mile Challenge anytime and anywhere! It’s Your Race at Your Pace! It’s not about how fast you finish, unless you are competing to get an AGCRA Placement Certificate.  It’s about finishing based on your ability! Participants in the AGCRA virtual race earn an incredible one of a kind medal/race Bib for themselves while positively impacting the AGCRA community through the Scholarship program!

Selection of the 8th Chief Warrant Officer of the Adjutant General’s Corps

From CW5 Jacque Nixon, Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) of the AG Corps:  AG Team, please join me in congratulating CW5 Mark Hickman on his selection as our 8th CWO for the Adjutant General’s Corps!  This is a great day for our Corps and our Warrant Officer cohort.  Mark’s leadership, experience at the Tactical, Operational and Institutional levels, coupled with his forward-thinking and can-do attitude will assist our AG leaders as we pursue a competent, agile and efficient Corps of Human Resources and Bandmaster Soldiers.  Mark will be the CWO in charge of seeing IPPS-A becoming reality and a key member that will continue to help oversee our Army’s HR transformation.  This is a great time to be an Adjutant General leader and an excellent opportunity for an accomplished leader and technical/tactical expert.

CW5 Mark Hickman selected as the 8th Chief Warrant Officer of the Adjutant General’s Corps.

Also, “Save the Date” for the AG Senior Warrant Council (SWC) & 420A/420C WOPD, and the Change of Responsibility (COR) between CW5 Jacque Nixon and CW5 Mark Hickman, which will be held 26 -27 March 2020.  An official invitation with details on the events and how to register to attend will be sent out on 31 January 2020.
