1. eSRB/ORB UPDATES RE: OS TOURS, ASSIGNMENT HISTORY AND AWARDS. The Human Resources Command (HRC) implemented software changes (8 June 2018) to allow for near real-time processing of eMILPO Overseas Tours, Assignment History and Awards transactions for commissioned and warrant officers. The software changes should significantly reduce: the number of Trouble Tickets, the need to submit PASS-R transactions, and provide users with near real-time TOPMIS/AIM ORB updates. Precision Retention is designed to sustain unit readiness and force alignment through the reenlistment and reclassification of Soldiers.  Precision Retention is broken down into two parts: Overages:  This identifies Military Occupational Specialties (MOSs) that are over strength and require reclassification out of the MOS in order to achieve force alignment across the Army. c. MILPER MESSAGE 18-185, ARMY CAREER INTERMISSION PILOT PROGRAM (CIPP) CALENDAR YEAR (CY) 2018, ISSUED: [6/12/2018 3:29:00 PM]. The purpose of the Career Intermission Pilot Program (CIPP) is to evaluate whether assigning a Soldier from the Regular Army (RA) or United States Army Reserve (USAR) Active Guard/Reserve (AGR) program to the Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) in a non-participating inactive status will provide an effective means of enhancing retention through greater career flexibility. This message applies to RA/USAR AGR Soldiers, and provides temporary authority to allow officers and enlisted personnel each calendar year to transition from the RA/USAR AGR to the IRR for a length of time no less than one year and not to exceed three years.  https://www.milsuite.mil/book/docs/DOC-480152

d. ARMY MILITARY PAY E-MESSAGE 18-039, ASSIGNMENT INCENTIVE PAY FOR INVOLUNTARY EXTENSIONS. Effective immediately , this memorandum cancels the Principal Deputy Under Secretary for Defense for Personnel and Readiness (PDUSD(P&R)) memorandum, Hardship Duty Pay and Assignment Incentive Pay Policy, dated November 13, 2008, which directed the payment of Assignment Incentive Pay in the amount of $1,000 per month to Service members involuntarily extended beyond 12 consecutive months Boots-on-the-Ground or 12 months within a 15-month period (365 days out of 450 days) in Iraq (to include staging in Kuwait), Afghanistan, or Certain theater units (CTU’s).   1. TAG SENDS EMPOWERS SOLDIERS TO IDENTIFY AND CORRECT THEIR DATA. From the IPPS-A Team: In order to ensure the Army’s vision of making “One Soldier, One Record, One Army!” a success we need all Soldiers, HR Professionals and Leaders to take deliberate steps now to identify and correct data inconsistencies within the Authoritative Data Sources (ADS).   2. SERVICEMEMBERS’ GROUP LIFE INSURANCE ONLINE ENROLLMENT SYSTEM (SOES) UPDATE. From the SOES Team: As of 21 May 2018, the Army has confirmed and certified a total of 571,992 SGLV forms in SOES across all Components: Active Duty 67.69% (314,180), Army Reserve 49.65% (94,505) and Army National Guard 47.62% (160,307). This represents 57.45% of the Army Strength – Operating, Generating & TTHS (ME1801) numbers as of 31 March 2018.  The Army has witnessed an increase of 16,544 confirmed and certified from last week and an overall increase of 1.66% Soldiers completed. The Total Army is currently 6.66% below weekly glide path, primarily due to lower certification levels in the Reserve Components for SOES implementation.
