UPDATE – Suspense for Flag Design submissions is extended to 17 June 2022.
In military organizations, the practice of carrying colors, standards, flags, or guidons, both to act as a rallying point for troops and to mark the location of the Commander, is thought to have originated in Ancient Egypt some 5,000 years ago.
Today, in the U. S. Army, distinguishing flags or organizational colors are authorized for most units (battalion size and larger) for indoor display and ceremonies.
Despite being in existence since 1987, the Adjutant General’s Corps Regimental Association (AGCRA) does not have an official flag. We mean to change that.
COL (Ret) Robert L. Manning, President of the AGCRA National Executive Council (NEC), has authorized an Association-wide contest to seek designs for the AGCRA’s official flag.
Any “active AGCRA member” in good standing can submit a flag design. Submissions should follow the following guidelines

Flag designs should be 3 feet by 4 feet (3-foot hoist by 4-foot fly), with a 2 ½ inch wide rayon fringe.

Designs should be submitted in the form of a PowerPoint file.

Submissions should contain accompanying text explaining the significance of the colors, symbols, and designs used.

Do not submit copyrighted or trademarked material.

Submissions should be sent to the VP, History, AGCRA NEC, at History@agcra.com.

Submissions should be sent no later than midnight, 17 June 2022.

Prizes out of the AGCRA Sutler Store will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place entries.
