1. ADJUTANT GENERAL’S CORPS HALL OF FAME (HOF) AND DISTINGUISHED MEMBER OF THE CORPS (DMOC) NOMINATIONS, 2019. As a reminder, the deadline for HOF and DMOC nominations for the class of 2019 is 21 December 2018. Only packets received by the deadline will receive consideration for the class of 2019.  Any packets received after 21 December will be automatically considered for the class of 2020. 2. HQDA EXORD 045-19 IN SUPPORT OF WORLDWIDE INDIVIDUAL AUGMENTATION SYSTEM (WIAS) TASKING REDUCTION. The Army’s goal is to reduce the number of global individual augmentation to no more than 450 over the next five years, in order to improve unit readiness.  In support of EXORD 045-19 the FORSCOM G-3/5/7 is conducting a survey of Soldiers currently deployed for a WIAS position filled by FORSCOM. Soldiers filling positions are asked to complete the survey NLT 11 Dec 18 if possible for the first round of analysis, but if that is not possible to complete by 11 Dec 18 please still complete the survey as this is an on-going project. 3. BLENDED RETIREMENT SYSTEM OPT-IN DEADLINE APPROACHING. Soldiers eligible to opt-in to the BRS have until Dec. 31 to decide whether to opt-in to BRS or remain with the legacy retirement system. Active-duty service members with fewer than 12 years of service as of Dec. 31, 2017, and Reserve component service members with less than 4,320 points are eligible. The Blended Retirement System (BRS) blends the traditional legacy retirement pension, also known as a defined benefit, with a defined contribution benefit into a Thrift Savings Plan (TSP). a. ARMY DIRECTIVE 2018-27, REBALANCE OF ARMY CHILD CARE FEE ASSISTANCE, 30 NOV 18. This directive establishes policy for the enrollment of Department of the Army (DA) Civilians in Army Fee Assistance (AFA). Effective 1 March 2019, DA Civilians may no longer enroll in AFA. This policy applies to all DA Civilians except Child, Youth, and School Services staff; Army National Guard and U.S. Army Reserve military technicians; and the Expeditionary Civilian Workforce in Total Family Income categories 1–6 while deployed. S1s, Unit Administrators, Recruiters, and persons responsible for providing documents for Soldiers records – It is important that password protected PDFs and documents with expiration dates not be uploaded to iPERMS or provided to ARISS as part of the accession process.
