a. ALARACT 042/2020, THE NEW ARMY EXCEPTIONAL ADVOCATE AWARD (FOUO), DTG: R 131500Z MAY 20. This message provides basic guidelines and presents the new Army Exceptional Advocate Award. The Department of Defense (Dod) Sexual Assault Prevention and Response office has traditionally offered the Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC) of the year award to SARC’s who obtained the DoD Sexual Assault Advocate Certification Program (D-SAACP). However, the Army has identified some drawbacks with the DOD SARC of the year award. These drawbacks include only offering the award to certified SARCs and also to victim advocates working in a SARC position, rather than an award exclusive to victim advocates. This award is for military and Department of Army Civilian Sexual Harassment/Assault Response Prevention Program (SHARP) personnel. https://www.milsuite.mil/book/docs/DOC-806349

b. ALARACT 043/2020, ISSUANCE OF ARMY DIRECTIVE (AD) 2020-04 (FOUO), DTG: R 131530Z MAY 20. AR 608-99 requires Soldiers to provide interim financial support to their families in the absence of a written agreement or court order pursuant to paragraph 2-6 of the regulation. AD 2020-04 now supplements that requirement with an enhanced interim financial support (EIFS) requirement. This requirement now also requires Soldiers to pay an additional amount to their families. EIFS applies to all separated Soldiers, including those with families residing in government owned or leased housing as well as those who may be providing “in-kind” support by paying rent or utilities directly to their landlords or other vendors. https://www.milsuite.mil/book/docs/DOC-806350

Message from the FORSCOM WIAS Team: We would like to reassure our volunteers that Individual Augmentation requirements are still proceeding forward with some minor modifications due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Individual Augmentation are aligned to GFM requirements and will proceed forward as an Operational need. This is outlined in the latest memo for stop movement directed by SECARMY. Due to certain theater precautionary restrictions, some requirements may be delayed in reporting but are handled on a case-by-case basis.
