3. FRAGO 2 TO HQDA EXORD 164-20 ARMY PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST (APFT) AND ARMY COMBAT FITNESS TEST (ACFT) DURING THE CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) OUTBREAK (FOUO), DTG: 142051Z MAY 20.  This FRAGO directs specific adjustments to the conduct of the sit-up event during the COVID-19 Outbreak. https://www.milsuite.mil/book/docs/DOC-767773

a. (3.B.1.) [CHANGE TO READ] The APFT testing frequency standards for all components is temporarily suspended until further notice.  If a unit takes an APFT, commanders will provide mitigation steps such as sit-up bars to hold a Soldier’s feet. Social distancing will be enforced.

b. (3.B.13.) [ADD] In all other instances where commanders choose to conduct the APFT during the COVID pandemic, commanders are authorized to modify the sit-up event by allowing Soldiers to anchor their feet to the ground using a method that does not involve contact from another Soldier.  Commanders will determine the method of bracing the feet.  All other sit-up event conditions and standards remain in effect as per FM 7-22 Appendix A, figure A-3.

4. HQDA EXORD 196-20 COVID-19 VOLUNTARY RECALLS (CVR) (FOUO), DTG: 151714Z MAY 20. On 13 March 2020, the President of the United States issued a declaration of national emergency (DNE) related to the Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) Outbreak.  On 25 March 2020, HQDA Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) G-1 issued a call to the retired reserve seeking particular areas of concentration (AOC) and MOSs required to address the emerging threat of the virus.  Fourteen thousand volunteers responded to the call and that number continues to grow.  This EXORD addresses the Army activating personnel to arrive and join the fight against COVID-19. https://www.milsuite.mil/book/docs/DOC-810153

5. COVID-19 PUBLIC AFFAIRS SURVEY. During the period of 18 May to 1 Jun 2020, Army Public Affairs is conducting a survey of Army personnel on Army command information efforts related to COVID-19. Approximately 53,000 Soldiers and civilians across the Army were sent invitations to complete the survey via Enterprise Email on 18 May. If you were not part of the sample population there is no ability to OPT IN to this survey. Commanders, public affairs professionals and S1s are encouraged to amplify the existence of the survey and suggest their Soldiers log in to their Enterprise Email and complete this survey, if invited.
