Adjutant General's Corps Regimental Association

Update, 23 May 2019

1. ARE YOU READY FOR THE 2019 HURRICANE SEASON? From the Army G-1 ADPAAS Team: Accountability for Service members and families is critical after a disaster takes place. The Army Disaster Personnel Accountability and Assessment System (ADPAAS) is used to attain accountability and assessments for those in need of assistance.  The ADPAAS Team has developed the Mobile Instructions (at the following link) for Android and iPhones.  Please disseminate to your formations and help familiarize all now so that accountability can be attained in a timely manner after a natural disaster.  https://www.milsuite.mil/book/docs/DOC-624940

2. DIRECTIVE-TYPE MEMORANDUM (DTM) 19-004 – MILITARY SERVICE BY TRANSGENDER PERSONS AND PERSONS WITH GENDER DYSPHORIA, 12 MARCH 2019. From OTSG: This DTM implements the policy in the February 22, 2018 Secretary of Defense Memorandum and the February 2018 DoD Report and Recommendations on Military Service by Transgender Persons, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures regarding the standards for accession, retention, separation, in-service transition, and medical care for Service members and applicants with gender dysphoria, as applicable.  https://www.milsuite.mil/book/docs/DOC-624577

3. OTSG G-37 MEDICAL READINESS (MR) DOES NOT RECOMMEND PROVIDERS USE DEPLOYMENT / ASSIGNMENT LIMITING CODES WHEN WRITING PROFILES. OTSG G-37 Medical Readiness (MR) will distribute a monthly message to the field containing information on current initiatives. The intent of these messages is to better prepare Commanders and Providers at all levels to make operational and strategic decisions, in an effort to enhance overall medical readiness. This month’s message advises that deployment/assignment limiting codes should only be applied to a profile during the board process. Writing a permanent profile and applying a V or F code, without a board, categorizes a Soldier as medically not ready and non-deployable when they should be medically ready and “Deployable with Limitations” in accordance with DODI 1332.45 (Retention Determinations for Non-Deployable Service Members). Read more at the following link.  https://www.milsuite.mil/book/docs/DOC-624492

4. OTSG/MEDCOM POLICY MEMO 18-008, STINGING INSECT ALLERGY RETENTION AND READINESS POLICY, 16 MAR 18. Evaluation and Referral: Stinging insect hypersensitivity reactions are categorized according to signs and symptoms that develop after an envenomation. These reactions will determine if the SM requires a referral to an allergist-immunologist for testing and treatment. See the policy memo for more information.  https://www.milsuite.mil/book/docs/DOC-624468
