1. RELEASE OF UPDATED VERSION (2.0) OF THE INTERACTIVE PERSONNEL ELECTRONIC RECORDS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (IPERMS). On 11 Oct 19 at 1500 EDT, iPERMS will shut down and be unavailable to users while the updated software is installed.  iPERMS will be back online and available to users no later than 0600 on 15 Oct 19. In addition to a new look and feel in the graphic user interface, iPERMS 2.0 will provide some new features and functionality, including iPERMS 2.0 using Department of Defense Identification (DODID) in lieu of Social Security Numbers to file documents in the Army Military Human Resource Record. 3. ARIMS FAMILIARIZATION TRAINING. From HRC Awards and Decorations Branch: The USAHRC Awards and Decorations Branch will offer ARIMS familiarization training on 11 Oct 19 to assist HR professionals in meeting their Army records management obligations.  Records management is required by law.  AR 25-400-2 provides general Army policy on meeting this legal requirement.  Each functional proponent maintains its own set of record-keeping requirements.  These requirements are defined in the ARIMS online interface.  Few HR professionals have the time to sit down and figure out the interface.  This session should provide the user with enough familiarity to navigate the interface and ask the right questions when in doubt.  https://www.milsuite.mil/book/docs/DOC-678408
