From Army Soldier Records Branch, HRC: ***TRANSCRIPT Issues (and a few other documents)*** Are you uploading/submitting transcripts for Soldiers to be included in their iPERMS record? S1s, Unit Administrators, Recruiters, and persons responsible for providing documents for Soldiers records – It is important that password protected PDFs and documents with expiration dates not be uploaded to iPERMS or provided to ARISS as part of the accession process. Password protected PDFs are not accessible once they are uploaded to iPERMS.  If you are submitting a document for a Soldier and the document is password protected or has an expiration date, please print a copy of that document and scan it as a new file without a password so it will be accessible in the future.  https://www.milsuite.mil/book/message/789507

d. MILPER MESSAGE 18-392, CHANGE OF SCANNING ROLE IN THE INTERACTIVE PERSONNEL ELECTRONIC RECORDS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, ISSUED: [12/4/2018 2:38:20 PM]. This message announces a change to the input roles used in interactive Personnel Electronic Records Management System (iPERMS) to scan or web upload documents to Army Military Human Resource Record.  This change supports future technical and business process changes in iPERMS. On 7 Dec 2018, iPERMS will convert all Scan Operator (SO) roles for Record Managers (RMs) to Field Operator (FO) roles.  This change will happen automatically and there is no action required by RMs. See the message for more information.  https://www.milsuite.mil/book/docs/DOC-552640

PERSONNEL ACCOUNTABILITY TRAINING. “In preparation for our deployment, we conducted multiple training exercises with limited real-world Personnel Accountability (PA) systems/procedures.  Once we arrived to the CENTCOM AOR, we realized we were underprepared for PA.  We began researching how to better prepare our replacement Brigade and discovered there are NIPR-accessible systems available for PA training.  There were many helpful stakeholders (HRC, DTAS helpdesk, HRSC, 1st TSC, and others) along the way and this guidance is a culmination of those efforts.” Contributed by CW2 Brenda Parks.  https://www.milsuite.mil/book/docs/DOC-551782
