The AGCRA Lone Star Chapter has remained actively engaged throughout the past several months, continuing its commitment to professional development, member recognition, community partnership, and fellowship across the Adjutant General Corps.
Leadership and Chapter Development
On 1 June, the chapter welcomed its newly elected Executive Council during a productive planning meeting focused on the way ahead. Council members discussed upcoming initiatives, chapter priorities, and strategies to continue strengthening support for members across the III Corps area. The meeting also included a celebration of CPT Anjae Thomas's birthday and provided an opportunity for fellowship as the new leadership team began building momentum for the year ahead.
Later in the month, on 26 June, representatives from the III Corps G-1, 13th Expeditionary Sustainment Command G-1, and the AGCRA Lone Star Chapter Executive Council met to discuss upcoming events and Leader Professional Development opportunities. The collaborative session reinforced the chapter's commitment to building strong partnerships throughout the HR community while creating meaningful opportunities for Soldiers, leaders, and AG professionals.
Investing in Professional Development
The chapter was honored to host SGM (Ret.) Adrian Thompson and Mr. Alex, who conducted an outstanding Career Skills Program (CSP) training session for members of the Adjutant General community. Their expertise and dedication provided valuable transition and career planning information that will benefit Soldiers as they prepare for successful careers beyond military service. The Lone Star Chapter sincerely appreciates their continued investment in developing future leaders.
The chapter also partnered with Mrs. Iesha Landrum and First Command Financial Services to provide members with an informative financial readiness presentation. Their continued partnership equips Soldiers and families with valuable financial planning resources while reinforcing the importance of long-term financial wellness.

The Lone Star Chapter proudly recognized several outstanding members for their exceptional service and contributions to the Army and the Adjutant General Corps.

The chapter also celebrated CW2 Tierra Hopkins, who was presented both the Meritorious Service Medal and the Army Commendation Medal in recognition of her exceptional service and dedication. Chapter President Ms. Katrina Ford additionally presented CW2 Hopkins with an AGCRA Lone Star Chapter coin as a token of appreciation for her unwavering leadership, professionalism, and commitment to Soldiers and their families.
During the ceremony, Honorary Member Division Command Sergeant Major (Ret.) LeVares Jackson and CW2 Hopkins presented SGT Pedro Mazanillo with a Sergeant Audie Murphy Coin, recognizing his leadership, character, and commitment to excellence.
While the chapter bid farewell to CW2 Hopkins as she prepares for her next assignment, members celebrated the lasting impact she has made and wished her continued success in the next chapter of her career.
Recognizing Our Volunteers
The Executive Council also gathered for a chapter fellowship event at Topgolf in Austin, Texas, providing an opportunity to strengthen relationships while recognizing the volunteers who continue to make the chapter successful.
During the event, Association of the United States Army Awards, signed by SMA (Ret.) Daniel Dailey, were presented to CPT Amari Harried and CPT William Scott for their outstanding service and contributions. Chapter coins were also presented to Executive Council members and their spouses in appreciation of their commitment and support throughout the past year.
The evening concluded with a special presentation honoring Chapter President Ms. Katrina Ford, who received a retirement plaque recognizing more than 20 years of honorable service to the United States Army. The event served as a meaningful celebration of leadership, service, fellowship, and the volunteers who continue to strengthen the Lone Star Chapter.
Another Successful Fundraiser
The AGCRA Lone Star Chapter also successfully concluded another chapter fundraising campaign. The fundraiser generated tremendous participation from members, families, friends, supporters, and S-1 shops across the force, creating an atmosphere of friendly competition while directly supporting future chapter programs, professional development opportunities, Soldier and Family events, and community outreach initiatives.
The chapter extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who participated, shared the fundraiser, and helped make it a success.
