The AGCRA Scholarship program recognizes and rewards eligible AGCRA members and their authorized dependents and/or grandchildren based on academic excellence, community/school activities, and military affiliation or service (if applicable).

Eligibility

  • Any active AGCRA member or an active AGCRA member’s authorized dependents and/or grandchildren can apply.
  • Applicant must be accepted or enrolled as a student at an accredited university, college, community college, or trade school (otherwise known as an accredited institution), or enrolled in an established 529 education savings plan.
  • For initial scholarship winners, eligibility for a second-year AGCRA Scholarship requires the student to maintain a B average GPA or higher during their first AGCRA scholarship school year and submit their academic transcript for validation to agcra-scholarship-2nd-yr@agcra.com.  The first AGCRA scholarship school year includes the full completion of the Fall and Spring semesters (or equivalent).
  • Applicants can receive only two AGCRA scholarships.

The window for accepting 2026 scholarship applications has been extended to May 30, 2026. Please email SCHOLARSHIPS@AGCRA.COM to check on your application submission made before May 30th, or if you have questions.  We anticipate that AGCRA 2026 scholarship winners will be announced in June 2026.

BRAND NEW:

  1. Starting in 2026, the 16th Annual AGCRA Scholarship Program will award one $5,000, two $2,500, and three $1,000 individual scholarships for 2026.  These scholarship dollar amounts will be distributed to winning candidates only if they meet the scoring criteria of this year's AGCRA Scholarship Board per the Program MOI.  The AGCRA Scholarship Program will also revalidate six $1,000 second-year scholarships from the 2025 Program.
  2. NEW COLUMBIA SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY MONJE-MURPHY SCHOLARSHIP.  AGCRA is proud to introduce the CSU Monje-Murphy Scholarship, established through a partnership between AGCRA and Columbia Southern University (CSU).  This scholarship provides an incredible opportunity for AGCRA members and their authorized dependents or grandchildren who have been accepted to attend CSU. One deserving recipient will be awarded a 60-credit scholarship to support their academic journey.  This scholarship is named in honor of COL (Ret) Larry (Nick) Monje and COL (Ret) Robert (Bob) T. Murphy, whose dedication and contributions have been instrumental in the success of the AGCRA Scholarship Program.

The application opportunity for both 2026 Scholarship Programs opened on 9 March 2026.  Scholarship applications must be received by 30 May 2026.

Scholarship winners will be notified first, followed by a worldwide announcement on all AGCRA social media sites listed below; please ensure they are among your favorites on social media.
